Dr. Beattey is a behavioral health leader, clinical psychologist, and attorney. His clinical and consulting practice focuses on neuropsychological, civil, and criminal assessment; professional ethics; and implementing evidence-based decision making in clinical, legal, and public policy contexts. His previous positions include serving as chief operating officer of Fairfax Behavioral Health, where he previously served as Chief of Psychology and Co-Director of the Center for Brain Health. He is an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law and served full-time on the faculty of the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Arizona State University. Also an attorney, he practiced law as a local prosecutor, Legal Director of a non-profit policy organization, and civil litigator before completing his doctoral studies.

Dr. Beattey is the author of a number of peer reviewed empirical studies that have been published in clinical and public policy journals, as well as a frequent contributor to edited volumes, professional conferences, and other professional works, including being co-editor of The Ethical Practice of Forensic Psychology: A casebook published by Oxford University Press.
